What we collect
Free tools
The Financial Freedom Score, money type and calculators run in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us. If you enter an email address to receive a guide, we receive that address only.
Forms
When you send a message or an employer enquiry, we receive what you enter: your name, email, phone number if given, company if given, and your message.
Healthcheck and coaching
If you connect your bank or open a coaching account, we hold your transaction data and what you enter into the coaching tools: income and spending, balance sheet, fact-find answers, goals and session notes. The bank connection is read-only and runs through an FCA-authorised open banking provider.
Technical data
Our hosting provider may log your IP address and browser type as part of standard server operation.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and deliver the service you ask for (contract, or steps before a contract)
- To keep financial records for the period required (legal obligation)
- To improve the site from aggregate statistics (legitimate interest)
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or send marketing emails without your agreement.
Who we share it with
- Supabase: the database holding coaching and account data, encrypted at rest and in transit, processed in the EU
- Plannr: the CRM your coach uses for your client file
- Brevo: email delivery for messages and guides you ask for, processed in the EU
- Netlify: website hosting
- Adfin: Direct Debit collection for monthly plans
Buzz Financial Services is a separate business. If you ask us to introduce you, we tell you what we will pass on before we pass it on, and it then holds that data under its own privacy notice.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries with no service taken: two years from last contact
- Coaching and planning records: six years from the end of the relationship
- Account login details: while your account is active
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, a portable copy, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email hello@buzzaccounting.co.uk and we reply within 30 days.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
