How a session works
Review the road map
Each session starts with your goals and the actions you agreed last time.
Wins and progress
What has moved forward since the last session.
What got in the way
Often time, a missing piece of paperwork, or a conversation with a partner that has not happened yet.
Agreed actions
One to three next steps, each with a deadline and an owner. Some of them are ours.
Advice check
If a decision needs a regulated recommendation, this is where we say so and can introduce you to Buzz Financial Services.
Afterwards your road map is updated with what was agreed, so the next session starts from a written record.
Coaching suits you if
- You broadly know what to do and are not doing it
- Your income changes often: self-employed, variable pay, a growing family
- You want someone to notice if you quietly stop
- Big decisions keep getting put off
- You and your partner need a neutral person in the room

Questions about coaching
Can I cancel, and do I get a refund?
You have 14 days from booking to cancel for a full refund, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask for your session sooner, you keep the right until the session happens. Cancel part-way through a piece of work and you pay for what has been done. Email hello@buzzaccounting.co.uk to cancel.
How often should I book?
Monthly is standard. Fortnightly can help for the first couple of months if you are rebuilding a budget or clearing debt. Quarterly is enough once things are stable.
Am I tied in?
No. Cancel or stop booking whenever you like. Your road map stays in your client record.
Do I need a Money Road Map first?
It helps. Without one, the first session or two go on building the agenda the road map would have given you. For two or three sessions on one thing, such as a debt payoff or agreeing a budget with a partner, pay as you go is fine.
What if I ask for product advice in a session?
Your coach will tell you it is an advice question and refer you. You can take your road map to Buzz Financial Services or any FCA-authorised adviser, so you are not starting from a blank fact-find.
Could I do this myself?
Yes. Most of what a coach covers is free from MoneyHelper. Coaching is for people who have meant to sort it and have not.
